The construction of the Diostan centre started in 2010 by a group of Ural businessmen led by Prof. A.Meneghetti.
This project is the next step in the international initiative supported by the United Nations to establish such independent ecobiological centers around the world.

The initiation and development of ecobiological projects aim at cultural leisure activities, teaching students of various educational programs operating around the world, promoting economic development of some regions, concern for the environment, exchange of international experience, enabling knowledge-based tourism, and more.

The first presentation of the Diostan centre was held on June 20, 2011 in Geneva at the UN conference on “The new generation of young people of the BRIC countries and their future  social responsibility in a globalized world.” Young people from four different countries  submitted their projects to respond to the issues stated in the 15 priority areas of the World Programme of Action for Youth initiated by the United Nations.
